Toy Story Jesse Hat

My child was SO DANG EXCITED to receive Jesse for Christmas.

Jesse!
Do you know Jesse?  No? Well, Jesse and her trusty steed, Bullseye, are part of the gang of Toy Story characters.  Toy Story 3 is the current movie du jour at our house.  My kids want to watch it over and over and over again.

Which, frankly, is fine with me because it's an adorable movie.

Well, ok, except for the part where the pig calls everyone an IDIOT all the time.  I'm counting the days until one of my children calls ME and idiot, at which time I will have to kill them.  (kidding! mostly.)

Anyhoo.

Paige received a little Jesse doll for Christmas and she LOOOOVES it.  Except for one thing.  The dang hat does NOT stay on Jesse's little yarn head.  And we all know a cowgirl just isn't a cowgirl without her hat.

Has anyone seen my hat?

This whole Jesse-hat-won't-stay-on thing came to head this morning when Paige collapsed into a puddle of tears.

And that's when it hit me!  A solution!

Behold, Internet, the fail-safe-fool-proof-toddler-approved-hat-stayer-on-trick:

First, take a wee strip of velcro.  The scratchy side, not the fuzzy side.
Put your scratchy velcro inside the hat!
And since Jesse's hair is made of yarn.
The hat totally sticks to her head!  Problem solved!
Now if I could just figure out how to get her to stay on her horse.

  1. Smart you! Genevieve is in love with her Buzz Lightyear doll. Yes. Even though both girls were terrified of Toy Story and cried during it when we watched the movie for Girls' Movie Night one time last summer when Daddy was out of town. Oops. Put it back away.
